Plastic: Retro

Great grip and beginner friendly flights. This is the perfect plastic blend for your first disc. This is also our most affordable plastic. For a long time we have had requests to make discs that break in more easily. Test after test led us to this plastic blend that we have named Retro.

FAQ

What makes Latitude 64 Retro plastic a great choice?

Retro is our most accessible and affordable plastic blend, engineered to deliver exceptional grip and a classic, tactile feel right out of the box. It is the perfect entry point for newer players building their first bag, or for seasoned competitors looking to test out new molds without a premium price tag.

How does Retro plastic affect the flight of a disc over time?

Because Retro is our baseline plastic, it is specifically designed to "beat in" much faster than our premium Opto or Gold blends. As the disc takes hits and wears in from natural course play, it gradually becomes more understable. This accelerated seasoning process allows players to easily unlock beautiful, sweeping turnover shots and massive glide, making it an incredible tool for shaping highly workable flight paths.

Customers praised this mid-range disc for its comfortable grip, straight and predictable flight path, and beginner-friendly performance. Shoppers noted it "feels steady in the hand" with controlled throwing, and "flies straight to understable." Many called it a high-quality disc ideal for new players, with excellent grip texture.

Steady, comfortable and easy!

As a new player in the hobby, I am still testing different mid-range drivers. This one is by far the most comfortable one to throw. It feels steady in the hand and follows a very controlled path, even if you’re not an experienced player as I am!

Retro Burst Fuse

My disc was pretty much all red, but I’m not mad. Very grippy, nice feel. Flies Uber straight to understable for me. Love this disc. In the words of Jonathan Fastborg, “Buy Fuse.”

Very good midrange

Sad 5 star

I bought these because I lost my Johnathan signature fuse, bought it because of whose disc it was, threw it, loved it, 4 months later lost it in a pond to a wind gust.
