Gold Vs Opto

Already have a opto Explorer and want to try different plastics. The flight of the two discs are quite the same: straight all the way with a gentle fade in the end. What is completely different is the plastic feel. It' s a very hot summer here in Italy and the gold blend feel very soft. It need a little more stiffness for warmer temperatures but I know it will work perfectly with cold weather next winter. Grip is great.

Straight shooter

My go-to stable fairway driver (together with Opto Explorer). A bit overstable when new, but beats in to perfection (i.e. laser-straight) after a while. I really trust the Explorer on tight, narrow holes (esp. in the woods) around 95-110 meters. Also good for hyzer shoots, both fh and bh, around 85-110 meters. Easy to recommend!

Explorer: Good forehand and backhand

I bought the Gold version to see if it would be a little bit less stable than the opto. I really like the Gold but would use the Opto in my bag more. I particularly like the Gold for forehand.

Quick, Easy, Better Throws

With the click of a few buttons, I added 40 feet to my drives. One day, I WILL beat Kevin C!!

The perfect fairway driver??

The Explorer is without a doubt my favorite fairway driver. I can't imagine going to the course without at least one in my bag, but I usually bag multiples. It's that perfect straight to stable flight and the more you beat them in the straighter they get, and they glide so well too. It's shapable and dependable and for only being a 7 speed they go really far. Most of my explorers are some version of Opto plastic, but I may need to stock up on these Gold plastic ones because they feel so good, and the flight certainly matches the feeling in the hand.

Great and stable fairway!

Really nice stable fairway to have in the bag. Going straight with a nice fade in the end. Not so hard to throw and that makes it good for every skill level!
