The Ultimate Fairway Workhorse

The Explorer was developed to be the straightest fairway driver on the market, and the Opto Air version brings that championship-winning consistency to a wider range of players. By distributing weight through our micro-bubble process, we’ve maintained the disc's structural stability while reducing the total mass. For players aiming at targets between 80m / 260ft and 110m / 360ft, the Opto Air Explorer offers the confidence to throw hard without fear of the disc turning over prematurely.

Controlled Distance for All

Accuracy is the hallmark of the Explorer. Whether you are navigating a tight wooded gap or playing a controlled placement shot on an open field, this disc reacts to your throw with surgical precision. Because it is PDGA Approved, it is a vital tool for tournament players who need a lightweight fairway driver that won't compromise on stability. The Opto Air plastic ensures that even at a lower weight, the disc feels premium in the hand and stands up to the rigors of competitive play.

FAQ

While the mold is identical, the Opto Air version is produced in lighter weights (150g–160g).This makes it easier for beginners, seniors, and players with moderate arm speeds to throw the disc at its intended speed, resulting in a straighter flight before the dependable fade kicks in.

Opto Air utilizes our premium, highly durable Opto plastic but introduces micro-bubbles into the plastic matrix to significantly reduce the overall weight of the disc. This advanced lightweight design allows players with slower arm speeds to generate more snap and achieve a much faster release. It is the absolute perfect choice for developing players, juniors, or anyone looking to effortlessly push their drives past the 100m / 330ft mark with less physical effort.

Yes. Because Opto Air discs are lighter, they require significantly less energy to reach their full intended flight path. This naturally results in a slightly more understable flight and massive glide compared to their heavier counterparts. While they are exceptional tools for effortless distance in calm conditions or massive tailwind bombs, players should be aware that their lighter weight makes them slightly more susceptible to being pushed off-line by stiff headwinds.

Customers praised this lightweight disc for its speed and predictability. Reviewers said it "comes out of my hand so fast" and is "very predictable" for slower arm speeds. One customer gained 5-10m in distance, calling it "very underrated." All reviews gave 5-star ratings, with customers loving the feeling and smooth performance.

Explorer - A Very underrated Disc!

Disc Down was the plan, Disc Down I implemented with this disc. And what can I say, it worked out great. I have gained about 5-10m in distance with the Opto Air Explorer (165g). It seems I can throw this disc with the necessary speed – so it goes further for me than faster Discs and just has a small Fade at the End (My Faster Speed Discs Faded much “faster” …. ended mostly short and left).
Have directly ordered 2 more (a few moments ago they where shipped as i noticed)

A Very underrated Disc in my Opinion.

I Hope there will be lighter Opto Air Versions in the Future (150g would be nice!)
