when thrown with low power --> is easy to float !
can get nice turnovers under 200 feet ( 61 m ).
straight or hyzer too.
great for new backhand players and pros who can finesse low power. if i am trying to go between trees and hit target. -- The Pearl flies with such small effort, that is is most accurate. i bought to get out of trouble in low ceiling wooded shots. it does this better than any disc i have tried.

i learned on old school innova , discraft, Latitude 64'has great flight control and great quality discs.
love the pink opto plastic.

The light weight and understability make this an easy disc to throw for beginners or those with very low arm speed.
Love this disc for forehand approaches. Also for backhand it is useful for not too far shots. I get quite straight flights out of it (as a beginner tending to hyzer).
The Pearl is one of the most underrated middies. It flies straight, glides forever and has a dependable flight. It is one of the first discs I threw and has remained in my bag for almost 10 years. It is good in any plastic 🏆🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was in need of an understable approach disc for my bag, something to help me get out of tight spots on my home course that is heavily wooded. This disc has surpassed my expectations. Very comfortable to throw/flick in tight spots, and the Opto plastic looks and feels great!

My favorite disc. I'm a senior with small hands and this disc works great for me. I have low arm speed and I can throw this disc with the most accuracy. I lost this disc on vacation and immediately ordered a new one when I got home.

Simplifies the act of disc throwing for beginners that I tend to loan mine to other beginners. So I bought a few extra. Recently, two beginners got a couple each after using mine. Only downside may be that it could be too forgiving, thus allowing development of poor habits before a beginner gets good enough to progress to more advanced discs.

The Opto Pearl is a great flying disc. Perfect for straight shots and slow turns to the right. Slow shots will finish with a tiny fade.

A local disc shop thought this disc (154g) would be perfect for me (74 yo, less than 2 years playing) for dead straight upshots with my low arm speed. They were correct! I bought two more plus a Opto Diamond (154g), an incredible driver for me.
i have gotten into Disc Golf late in life and have a slow arm speed. I throw a lightweight Opto Pearl which truly glides through the air. It feels great, is easy to throw, and gives me great distance. Love the Pearl (and Fuse and Maul!)!
I’ve only been playing DG for about 8 months. The Pearl is one of my favorite discs. It fly’s straight and glides for days.

I’ve not got throw it yet because someone stole it off my front porch so I will have to order another one in a few days.
The Pearl and the Ruby both are good to handle for beginners. A good choice for longer drives if you are not using a driver or go on for short distances. It goes very straight and is easy to set up for a right curve if you are not safe with the forehand.
