Opto Fury

The Latitude 64° Fury is all about taking the stress out of the game. It was developed for players who want a disc that provides maximum airtime; whether you are navigating a narrow tunnel or looking for a long, panning turnover, the Fury is built to deliver. Its standout feature is its incredible glide, which allows it to maintain its altitude and speed even on soft, delicate shots, making it one of the most efficient drivers in the 9-speed category.

Crafted in our legendary Opto plastic, the Fury is as durable as it is versatile. Opto is a premium, translucent plastic known for its extreme resilience and firm, consistent grip in all conditions. For intermediate players, the Fury often becomes a primary distance driver because of its forgiving nature. For advanced players, it serves as a specialized tool for technical wood shots and long rollers. It’s a disc that rewards a smooth release with a flight path that is pure poetry in motion.

Features and Benefits

  • Incredible Range: Speed 9 and Glide 6 make this one of the furthest-flying fairway drivers for players with moderate arm speeds.

  • Controlled Turn: The -2 turn allows the disc to flip up to flat easily, providing a long and straight flight path before a gentle fade.

  • Predictable Finish: A Fade of 2 ensures the disc doesn't "roll over" too easily, giving you confidence on every throw.

  • Opto Plastic: Known for its beautiful translucent finish and its ability to withstand hits against trees on wooded courses.

  • Technical Shot-Shaping: Excellent for learning how to control release angles and achieving different flight shapes with ease.

  • Versatile Performance: Ideal for tailwind drives, soft turnovers, and accurate placement shots on long par 3s.

  • PDGA Approved: Fully certified for professional and amateur tournament play worldwide.

FAQ

Opto is our premium, translucent plastic blend engineered to withstand the harshest course conditions. It is incredibly resistant to tree hits, rock scrapes, and heavy impacts, ensuring that your disc retains its original flight characteristics for a very long time. It is the absolute best choice for players who want their go-to discs to maintain their reliable, predictable flight round after round.

Opto provides a slightly stiffer feel and a smooth, premium grip that inspires championship confidence. Due to its dense and resilient composition, discs molded in Opto plastic typically start out slightly more overstable out of the box compared to our baseline blends, providing exceptional torque resistance for powerful throws.

This disc golf driver delivers reliable, predictable flight with excellent glide and distance. Customers praised its dependability for straight throws and beginner-friendliness. The durable plastic holds up well against impacts. Some noted it's understable with significant turn, ideal for newer players or specific shot types.

Great expansion to small collection

An immediate increase in range for a beginner who has been throwing a river for most drivers. This comes without loosing predictability of the throws.

Slower Arm

As a senior citizen I have thrown the Fury for over 10 years and have enjoyed throwing it. The disc has a dependable flight and was thrown on one of my two ace throws. I like the disc very much.

Opto Fury is my go to driver

I am less then 1 year into disc golf, and the fury is my go to driver. It's at the edge of my capabilities but every once in a while I get it. I love the opto plastics and have several of the discs from Latitude 64.

Hey Dan,

Thanks for the review. I'm happy to hear that you like the Fury. :)

The Opto Fury - I love to throw ist

Whether straight ahead with a slightly understable end or for the Hyzerflip, always Fury. If little bit more stability is required - Opto Plastic! Great Disc. Throw it...

Great upgrade to Superhero from starter set

I've just started this year and have been really enjoying the Superhero driver from the starter set. However, my apparent unconscious hatred of trees has caused a number of chips and scrapes along the edge of the Superhero disc. I didn't want to buy another starter set so I looked up the numbers and found Fury to be a match! So far it's going great, though the opto plastic has a different feel that I'm getting used to it appears to be holding up well from hitting all the trees.

Fury=effortless distance

The Fury is a great disc for full flight without needing to throw it hard. Also, this disk is amazing for long uphill shots. I throw it up pretty high with a decent bit of power, it flips up, and still maintains a good flight for an uphill all the way type of shot. Great disc for all skill levels

The Opto Fury

Great Disc. Easy to throw with a nice glide. Definitely holds the line you put it on with a slight fade at the end depending on how much spin you put on it. Very predictable disc. So glad it’s in my bag. Oh, one other thing. I got the white Opto Fury and it is one good looking disc.

Didn't know how much I needed it until I started throwing it.

Opto line is A+

I lose a lot of discs and hot a lot of trees, and so many of my discs get destroyed or lost quickly. My new opto fury has very vibrant colors and doesn't have a scratch on it, despite slamming some very close trees. As long as I don't lose it in the woods I should get some longevity out of it.
