Opto Core

The Latitude 64° Core was developed to be the ultimate multi-purpose disc. It sits comfortably in the hand with a smooth, beadless rim that appeals to both backhand and forehand players. The Core is famous for its "honest" flight; it stays on the line you put it on with a very mild finish. If you need a disc that can handle a little more power than a standard midrange without flipping over, but don't want the aggressive fade of a driver, the Core is the answer.

Crafted in our legendary Opto plastic, the Core is built to handle the rigors of the course. Opto is a premium, translucent plastic known for its extreme resilience and firm, consistent grip in all weather conditions. Whether you are navigating a long, narrow fairway or need a reliable disc for a 100-meter straight shot, the Core delivers. It’s a versatile workhorse that rewards smooth technique and has remained a favorite for players who value a predictable, straight-to-stable flight path.

Features and Benefits

  • World-Class Versatility: Speed 6 and Glide 5 make this one of the most efficient midranges for bridging the gap to your drivers.

  • Neutral Consistency: The -0.5 turn and 1 fade combination ensures a laser-straight flight with a very soft, predictable landing.

  • Angle Integrity: Exceptional at holding the line you release it on, making it a great choice for technical shot-shaping.

  • Opto Plastic: Known for its beautiful translucent finish and its ability to withstand hits against trees without changing its flight path.

  • Beadless Design: The smooth rim offers a snag-free release and a confident feel for both power and fan grips.

  • "One-Disc" Round Choice: If you had to play a full round with only one disc, the Core’s versatility makes it the top candidate.

  • PDGA Approved: Fully certified for professional and amateur tournament play worldwide.

FAQ

Opto is our premium, translucent plastic blend engineered to withstand the harshest course conditions. It is incredibly resistant to tree hits, rock scrapes, and heavy impacts, ensuring that your disc retains its original flight characteristics for a very long time. It is the absolute best choice for players who want their go-to discs to maintain their reliable, predictable flight round after round.

Opto provides a slightly stiffer feel and a smooth, premium grip that inspires championship confidence. Due to its dense and resilient composition, discs molded in Opto plastic typically start out slightly more overstable out of the box compared to our baseline blends, providing exceptional torque resistance for powerful throws.

Customers praised this midrange disc for its exceptional straight flight and impressive glide. "It will hold the line it's put on forever!" Many noted it excels in wooded courses with tight lines. The Opto plastic was described as beautiful. One customer mentioned it flies more understable with more fade than expected, affecting their bag choice.

Where has this been all my life?

Super underrated disc here! Has the tiniest of flips so it goes super far for my intermeidate arm speed, but has reliable stability! If you put it on a baby anny, it holds it for the majority of the flight with a reliable fade. On a baby hyzer, it flips up perfectly and soars. Getting more.

Effortless Controllable Straight Midrange

This is one of my favorite woods discs with tight lines. One of the most controllable discs while also having excellent glide in the woods. Perfect disc where I want to disc up from a putter to get that extra 30-40 feet of glide but still want a dead-straight flight.

Stability and fade is different than shown

This flies more understable for me with a medium power behind it, and It has way more fade that listed. Can't say I'd compare it to a Buzzz, but it does have turn similar to a Buzzz SS. Overall, nice feeling disc and useful for certain shots requiring a reliable fade, but it won't stay in my bag.

The glide is impressive

This is an amazing mid that is more like a fareway driver. If you are throwing midrange and not getting the distance you want try a core

Core for life

Exceptional glide. The core is an incredible shot shaping disc for the tight wooded lines!

My favorite disc is back

I have always loved the core since it's conception. Super controlled shots with shape and glide. Mostly a woods disc for me, I throw hard so it does have some flip to it, but it is so predictable and intentional, as oppose to squirlly flippy midrange. And I love the ability this disc has to stay in the air. I throw it on low ceiling shots and tight tunnels with ease.
