Opto Compass

The Latitude 64° Compass was developed with a simple goal: to create a midrange that is as reliable as it is versatile. Working closely with world-class professionals, we designed a disc that doesn't have a mind of its own. The Compass features a very comfortable, mid-depth rim and a flat top, providing a consistent grip and a clean release every time. It is a disc that rewards good form and provides the feedback you need to master your midrange game.

Crafted in our legendary Opto plastic, the Compass is built to handle the rigors of the course. Opto is a premium, translucent plastic known for its extreme resilience and firm, consistent grip in all weather conditions. Whether you are navigating a tight wooded tunnel or need a reliable approach on an open field, the Compass stays true to its mission. It’s a "straight-shooter" that has earned its place as a staple in bags worldwide, from beginners to the highest level of professional play.

FAQ

Opto is our premium, translucent plastic blend engineered to withstand the harshest course conditions. It is incredibly resistant to tree hits, rock scrapes, and heavy impacts, ensuring that your disc retains its original flight characteristics for a very long time. It is the absolute best choice for players who want their go-to discs to maintain their reliable, predictable flight round after round.

Opto provides a slightly stiffer feel and a smooth, premium grip that inspires championship confidence. Due to its dense and resilient composition, discs molded in Opto plastic typically start out slightly more overstable out of the box compared to our baseline blends, providing exceptional torque resistance for powerful throws.

Customers praised this midrange disc as "the straightest" they've thrown, with exceptional flight predictability. The Opto plastic offers durability and consistent performance. Shoppers noted it "holds the line" reliably, flies straight with a gentle fade, and handles multiple angles. One customer mentioned it "flies heavy" but overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive.

The Definition of Straight

Finding a truly straight midrange is harder than most players think. After testing countless options over the years, one disc stands above the rest: the Compass in Opto plastic.

The Compass is the straightest midrange I have ever thrown. Point it at the target, commit to the line, and it simply goes where it’s told. Whether I’m navigating a tight wooded tunnel, attacking a narrow gap, or throwing a precise uphill approach, the Compass inspires complete confidence.

What makes it special is its honesty. It holds the angle you release it on better than almost any disc I’ve experienced. Throw it flat and it flies laser straight. Release it on hyzer and it follows that line. Give it anhyzer and it gracefully holds the turn. It doesn’t fight you, and it doesn’t surprise you—it simply executes.

When powered up, the Compass may show a hint of turn, but even then it remains predictable. It gently works right before reliably straightening out with a subtle finish, ending exactly where you expected it to. For most shots, though, its flight is pure and uncompromisingly straight.

The Opto plastic adds durability and consistency, ensuring that the flight you trust today will remain the flight you trust season after season.

If I could only carry one midrange, the Compass would be an easy choice. It can shape virtually any line, handle almost any situation, and rewards clean form with unmatched precision. In my bag, it serves as the cornerstone of a complete midrange lineup, perfectly complemented by the stability of the Anchor and the effortless turn of the Fuse.

The Compass doesn’t just fly straight—it defines what a straight midrange should be.

My go to disc!

On right hand back hand, when released flat, it flies straight with a reliable fade in the end. Put it on hyzer and it just holds it. On the courses I play there are some mandos where this disc is just great for a forehand hyzer. I love this disc! Great compliment to the Fuse and my all rounder!

Best mid range for average player

If you just using drivers and putters and you feel like you cant throw mids well start with this one you can throw it almost full power and not turn it over it holds straight most of the flight with a nice tight finish I use it for most par 3s now instead of throwing a force at everything

A very reliable midrange being the definition of straight with some fade.

Thrown anhyzer, the disc will go straight for days.

straigt midrange

the compass is a " hold the line " type of disc, brand new it will not flip at all and stay on the line you put it on with a gentle fade at the end of it's flight.
It doesn't hold to more that 7/8 mph of headwind before it start to flip.
when it get's beat in, I found it to be an amazing woods midrange , with just a tad of flip and almost no fade at the end of it's flight.

Straight flyer

I found a Lat 64 Saint lost with no number and gave it a try and loved it. That is what got me to order this compass and it has replaced my buzz. Love this straight flying disc which is an easy throw for my old arm. I have since purchased a Fuse, River and Maul all in the Opto plastic which has a nice grip and feel for me.
