Description

A straight midrange in a plastic that grips back. Compass flies where you point it. With flight numbers 5 / 5 / 0 / 1 it holds hyzer, flat and anhyzer lines without fighting you, then finishes with a gentle fade. The rim sits in the middle ground, neither shallow nor deep, so it settles into most hands without a long getting-to-know-you period. Frost is a soft, flexible plastic with a lot of grip. It keeps more of its flex when the temperature drops, which makes Compass a good one to bring out for late-autumn rounds and cold mornings. It also tends to grab the ground on landing instead of skipping away, which means fewer approaches rolling off into the long grass. Worth knowing: Compass holds the angle you give it. If you want a midrange that turns over on its own, Fuse is the more understable option.

How straight does Compass fly?

Flight numbers 5 / 5 / 0 / 1 mean no turn and a small fade at the end. Thrown flat, it flies straight and finishes gently. On hyzer or anhyzer it tends to hold the angle you release it on.

How does Frost feel on a midrange?

Softer and more flexible than firmer plastics, with more grip in the hand. It keeps more of its flex in cold weather and tends to grab the ground on landing instead of skipping.

Who is Compass a good fit for?

Players who want one midrange they can shape on several angles. Speed 5 doesn't need a big arm, and the 0 turn keeps it from flipping easily for stronger throwers.

Frost Compass

Does what it says.

Can't complain about anything feels good in the hand and grips even through gloves because it is rubbery. A little more understable then a gold compass in 0 degree weather, but in -10 degree it starts to act more stable and like a gold compass. Can't really test it out in warmer weather because it is winter. Could form a ball out of it.
