Opto Sinus

The updated Latitude 64° Sinus is the ultimate answer for players who need a reliable "sit-down" putter with a modern feel. While the original version was famous for its textured grip pads, this new iteration features a smooth top that appeals to players looking for a more traditional, clean grip. Despite the visual update, its soul remains the same: it is a high-stability tool designed to fight the wind and provide a predictable fade on every single approach.

Crafted in our legendary Opto plastic, the Sinus is built to be a mainstay in your bag. Opto is a premium, translucent plastic known for its extreme resilience and firm, consistent grip. The Sinus excels at short, technical shots where distance control is critical; its low glide ensures it hits the ground with authority and stays put, minimizing dangerous skips. Whether you are facing a gusty headwind or need a dependable hyzer-line to the pin, the new Sinus delivers the confidence you need to attack the green.

Features and Benefits

  • Wind-Fighting Stability: Speed 2 and Fade 2 make this one of the most reliable putters for navigating unpredictable conditions.

  • Refined Ergonomics: The removal of grip pads provides a smooth surface for the thumb, offering a more versatile and consistent release.

  • Zero Turn Consistency: Specifically engineered to resist high-speed turn, making it an excellent choice for both backhand and forehand "flick" approaches.

  • Predictable Landing: The low glide (2) ensures the disc loses speed quickly at the end of its flight, preventing long comeback putts.

  • Opto Plastic: Known for its beautiful translucent finish and its ability to withstand severe wear and tear without losing its flight characteristics.

  • Utility Specialist: Ideal for hyzer approaches, flex shots, and any situation where you need a disc that absolutely must not turn over.

  • PDGA Approved: Fully certified for professional and amateur tournament play worldwide.

FAQ

Opto is our premium, translucent plastic blend engineered to withstand the harshest course conditions. It is incredibly resistant to tree hits, rock scrapes, and heavy impacts, ensuring that your disc retains its original flight characteristics for a very long time. It is the absolute best choice for players who want their go-to discs to maintain their reliable, predictable flight round after round.

Opto provides a slightly stiffer feel and a smooth, premium grip that inspires championship confidence. Due to its dense and resilient composition, discs molded in Opto plastic typically start out slightly more overstable out of the box compared to our baseline blends, providing exceptional torque resistance for powerful throws.

Customers praised this disc golf putter for its reliable stability and versatility. Reviews highlight it as "not too flippy and not too stable" with excellent performance for approach shots and headwind putts. The durable plastic withstands impacts well, though some note it has slightly more skip compared to earlier versions.

Latitude 64 Opto Sinus – A Familiar Friend with a Slick New Suit

As an avid thrower of the OG Bobby Musick medium burst moonshine Sinus, I approached the Opto Sinus with a mix of excitement and skepticism. Could it possibly match the torque resistance, dead-straight putts, and that satisfyingly beefy feel I’ve come to rely on?
Well, the short answer—kind of.
The Opto plastic brings a fresh twist to the Sinus mold, offering a smooth, grippy-yet-durable feel that holds up to tree smacks and pavement skids far better than its softer predecessors. The flight? Still reliably overstable, with that dependable zero-turn and firm fade that makes it a dream for forehand approaches and headwind putts. However, compared to the Bobby Musick edition, it lacks a bit of the “bite” on landing—where my burst moonshine Sinus would check up and sit, the Opto has a touch more skip.
Spin it hard, and it’ll hold a laser-straight line before dumping left (or right for the flickers) with a no-nonsense finish. It laughs in the face of headwinds and excels at those touchy upshots where you need trust, not hope.
Final verdict? The Opto Sinus is a worthy successor, but if you’re a die-hard fan of the OG Bobby Musick run, you might miss that velvety burst feel and slightly softer, more predictable ground play. Still, if you want a Sinus that lasts forever and shrugs off the elements, this one deserves a spot in the bag.
