We are excited to introduce our ongoing Project Grip, featuring a patented production technique (US20230064299A1) that allows us to combine different plastics in a single mold. This innovation opens up a world of possibilities for disc design. Our goal with Project Grip is to develop discs that offer an exceptional grip while maintaining a stiff, torque-resistant feel—something that traditional production methods simply can’t achieve.

Project Grip Strive

I was excited to see the Strive offered in the new Project Grip plastic. However, the Strive that I received does not have nearly the tackiness/grip of the original Grace I have from the Project Grip box. Its feel is closer to some of my other Grand Strives, and it’s fairly slick feeling. The flight itself is still great however, with maybe a touch more high speed turn. I’d just hoped for the stickier feeling grip I’d enjoyed from my 4 discs in the Project Grip box. I’m guessing the disc I received is an outlier to the overall process.

The Royal Grand plastic is my favorite plastic. This run of project grip has a bit more grip to it. In cold weather this will be a go to for me.

Loving it so far, really grippy feel. Was hoping it would be closer to 170g, but not a big deal. Now I need to do some side by side comparisons with the royal grand strive.
