The Ultimate Distance Hack

The Bolt is a secret weapon for players looking to break their personal distance records. In its Opto Air form, the barrier to entry for high-speed drivers is significantly lowered. For players aiming for targets between 100m / 330ft and 130m / 425ft, the Opto Air Bolt provides the necessary lift and turn to achieve a full flight. It excels in tailwinds where its understable characteristics and lightweight construction allow it to ride the air for incredible distances.

Versatile Bomber Performance

While the Bolt is fast, it remains remarkably controllable. Whether you are throwing long, sweeping anhyzers or looking for a disc that flips up from a hyzer to a dead-straight frozen rope, the Opto Air Bolt delivers. Because it is PDGA Approved, tournament players can rely on it for sanctioned play when they need maximum distance with a smoother, less aggressive throw. The micro-bubble technology ensures that despite the lighter weight, the disc feels substantial and holds its line consistently through seasons of play.

FAQ

Yes, if you are looking for more speed and potential distance. The Bolt is a significant jump in speed (from 9 to 13), so it is ideal for players who have mastered the Jade and are looking for a wider-rim driver to gain more ground.

Opto Air utilizes our premium, highly durable Opto plastic but introduces micro-bubbles into the plastic matrix to significantly reduce the overall weight of the disc. This advanced lightweight design allows players with slower arm speeds to generate more snap and achieve a much faster release. It is the absolute perfect choice for developing players, juniors, or anyone looking to effortlessly push their drives past the 100m / 330ft mark with less physical effort.

Yes. Because Opto Air discs are lighter, they require significantly less energy to reach their full intended flight path. This naturally results in a slightly more understable flight and massive glide compared to their heavier counterparts. While they are exceptional tools for effortless distance in calm conditions or massive tailwind bombs, players should be aware that their lighter weight makes them slightly more susceptible to being pushed off-line by stiff headwinds.

This lightweight disc golf driver excels for players with slower arm speeds. Customers said "it's my longest disc in my bag" with excellent glide and distance capability. Ideal for older players and standstill shots, achieving 380+ feet on hyzer flips. Some noted it can be too flippy for full-power throws, turning into rollers. One concern: exact disc weight not specified (only "under 158").

  • Its my longest disc in my bag, very impressed, I'm now getting that 2nd flight type glide!
  • I wanted something a little lighter, but with the same distance capability. I love it!!
  • Gettin 380 with the Air Bolt. Very happy, plan on buying a couple more for back up.

Hood service but

My complaint is not about delivery or price both were good. I wont buy here again because you dont specify the exact weight of the disc. Your wieght comment was under 158. For us noddle arms thus isnt good enough. 153 perfect 158 too much. Other companies can give you an exact weight. Nobreason you cant.

Bolt Was A Jolt For Me

I’m 74 and my distance is less than average. Mostly I throw the Diamond and the Jade for distance. We’re talking 8 and 9 speeds. The Bolt is a 13 speed and I could actually get nice distance without it diving straight into the ground. I’m glad it’s in my bag. I will enjoy getting to know my Bolt.

Bolt for forehand players with slower arm speed

I am an older player new to the game. I the Bolt in Opto plastic which is a little heavier. I wanted something a little lighter, but with the same distance capabilitiy. The Opto Air is the answer! I love it!!

Too Flippy

Was hopping it would be like my opto and glow opto but with the lower weight I guess it can't handle the torque of a full run up throw it turns into an insta roller. From a stand still position it still has its uses( nothing my Fury won't do tho) and make a nice 200'+ hyzer flip shot.

Air bolt

For control shots, lesser powered arms. Good glide. Works well at higher altitude.

Light distance understable driver

I brought it with the light Ballista, but I found this distance driver more difficult to throw far than the overstable Ballista.

Old man disc,awesome

At 59yrs old I am loving the 10yr Gold Orbit Bolt for most drives, the addition of the Air Bolt gives me great distance with stand still, low ceiling and roller shots plus on wide open hyzer flips gettin 380 with the Air Bolt. The Gold Orbit Bolt is my 320 to 350 hyzer or hyzer to flat .
Very happy with my Opto Air Bolts plan on buying a couple more for back up and practice.

Bolt review

I have a slower arm speed and this disc is money for me. I’m over 50 and this game needs more air plastic molds.
