Opto-Ice Trident - 15 Year Anniversary

Sale price$21.90 USD

Disc Color: Turquoise
Weight (g): 173g+

Trident is an overstable control driver good for windy days and those safe hyzer shots. As for being a driver it is one of the slowest, but that is just as we want it. The keywords here are control and reliability. With a strong fade and reliable flightpath this is a disc that will earn a slot in many bags. This is utility disc that can be used for regular drives, forehands, thumbers and tomahawks. Recommended for advanced players.

Product images may differ slightly from actual product. Shade of disc color may vary (for example, blue can be baby blue or sky blue). Foil stamp color are assorted, unless otherwise stated.

Trident true

Played the opto ice 15th Anniversary over the last four days. I’ve relied on 3 gold over the last +-13 years. I wasn’t sure after reading the reviews what I would think of the ‘donkey’ trident. Once I learned to just throw it like a trident, slightly adjusting for the .5 extra over stability, it was back to being the most trusted upshot/utility/forehsnd/backhsnd discs in my bag.
The plastic gives a bit of different ground play.
My buddy bought 4.
After the same four days, the trident already is declared as a permanent fixture in his bag.
Feels right in the hand. Not a more predictable disc available for 120 -250 ft shots.
Super overstable, bends hard and fast when it slows down.
The one disc I can’t live with.
Those who don’t like it versus the old trident, I felt the same way for a day. Then it clicked, and now it feels the same.
I’m beating it in fast.

Not the classic mold I was expecting

Maybe they'll fly good, but at first sight and feel, these are not flat and the plastic is my least favorite from Lat64. It also has some flashing that isn't very comfortable for forehand. Only giving it 3 stars based on it being a Trident. Please bring the flat molds back in Gold Line! Please! If these were flat, I'd take it because the Trident has no replacement. Wish someone had mentioned these details before so I didn't buy them. If you want a domey Trident, this will be your best bet. Sorry Latitude 64, these will give the Trident a bad name.

Was skeptical.........

I purchased the Opto Ice XXX and it was pretty soft/gummy and not as over stable as expected. I saw the BOGO and decided to take a shot on these and they are much firmer/sturdy than that XXX run. SUPER happy with them and the color ways are AWESOME. TY Lat!

Hi PJ,

Thank you for your review.
I'm happy to hear that the Opto-Ice Trident - 15 Year Anniversary did exceed your expectations. :)

New forhand favorite?

Was looking for a complement to Fortress (10/4.0/0.0/3.0) that I mostly use for forhand throws. Wanted a disc for moderate distance shot and Trident (6.0/4.0/-0.5/3.0) ticked all boxes.

On lite anhyzer forhand it flips up and at the end it has a hooking fade.
