Point-and-shoot midranges, such as the Compass and Trust, have minimal turn and minimal fade. This means wherever you aim and whatever angle you release the disc on, it will hold that exact line through the entire flight.

Straight midranges are highly versatile and excel in the 50m to 80m / 165ft to 260ft range. They are the perfect tool for controlled approaches where accuracy is more important than maximum distance.

Because they are incredibly workable. A professional can use a single straight midrange, like the Claymore, to throw hyzers, straight shots, and anhyzers simply by changing their wrist angle on release.
