Opto Sinus - The Durable Workhorse

The Opto Sinus is engineered for players who demand a predictable finish every single time. While the Zero-versions offer a tacky grip, the Opto plastic provides a stiffer, more resilient feel that maintains its overstability even after seasons of hitting trees and rocks. It flies slow and predictably, helping you control your lines into the basket with surgical precision. As the disc breaks in over time, it will gradually become straighter, but it will always retain that characteristic "Sinus-sit" upon landing.

The Huk Lab TriFly Timber edition is a nod to disc golf craftsmanship. This is the disc you reach for when the pressure is on and you need to trust your equipment implicitly. Its slow glide ensures you won't overshoot the green, while the increased overstability provides the confidence to throw hard without fear of the disc flipping over. It is a no-nonsense approach tool that combines a legendary mold with a legendary stamp for a truly premium experience on the fairway.

Features and Benefits

  • Exceptional Durability: Opto plastic ensures the disc keeps its flight numbers longer than any other plastic in the lineup.

  • Overstable Precision: A reliable fade that you can count on for technical approaches and wind-fighting shots.

  • Controlled Landing: Designed to drop quickly and minimize ground play, keeping your upshots close to the pin.

  • Modern Feel: The redesigned 2006 mold offers a more streamlined rim compared to earlier versions of the Sinus.

  • Slow Speed Stability: Perfect for "point-and-shoot" approaches where distance control is the top priority.

  • Flight Numbers: Speed: 2, Glide: 2, Turn: 0, Fade: 3.

FAQ

Yes — it’s the exact same Latitude 64 mold and premium plastic you know and trust. The flight numbers and on-course performance are unchanged, so you can throw it with full confidence. The Huk Lab edition simply adds a unique, licensed TriFly design.

Both. Huk Lab discs are fully PDGA-approved and designed for play, just like our standard lineup. At the same time, the limited runs and distinctive TriFly artwork make them highly appreciated by collectors. Whether you bag it or display it is up to you.

No — the disc maintains the same grip, flexibility, and durability as any Latitude 64 disc. The stamp is applied using a precise hot-stamping process that preserves the original feel of the plastic.

In most cases, yes — we list Huk Lab discs with specific disc and foil color combinations so you know exactly what you’re getting. If a product includes assorted foil variations, this will always be clearly stated on the product page.

Thought this thing would be a beefy approach disc but it actually has some nice stability. It feels amazing in the hands.

I had never thrown a sinus before, and picked one up after watching Isaac Robinson throw it. While it isn’t quite overstable enough to be called an approach disc in my opinion, it makes for an excellent overstable throwing putter. I get clean releases with it and I never have to worry about it finishing somewhere I don’t expect.
