Strategic shift at House of Discs

House of Discs wasn’t built in a day, and it wasn’t built over these last few years. Its foundation was first laid many, many years ago by innovators, enthusiasts, visionaries, and disc golfers.

These disc golfers worked tirelessly through years of effort, and over time, they created thriving disc golf companies and notable brand names across the globe. Countless hours, days, and weeks of trial brought company founders’ dreams to reality! Then, suddenly, an unexpected challenge arrived. A global pandemic turned the world and disc golf, upside down.

The pandemic brought more people outside than ever at an unprecedented rate. In many cases, they dug out their old discs or scoured the internet to buy their first set. Demand for disc golf equipment skyrocketed at an astronomical rate. Courses were packed, discs were scarce, and questions of how to bring more discs to the masses dominated virtual meeting rooms around the globe.

In pursuit of a solution, House of Discs officially formed. Professionals from outside disc golf brought large-scale industry experience, in hopes of guiding disc golf into the future. Out of a deep and genuine love for the sport, these founders decided to pursue their shared visions and join House of Discs.

Bringing multiple disc golf brands together under one roof has been quite the undertaking. Doing so while navigating a downward shift in the disc golf market has presented a number of unexpected challenges. The solutions to some of these complex problems are not easily found. We have learned now that a deep understanding of disc golf’s history, players, and its many nuances is essential for House of Discs to overcome these challenges.

Effective immediately, House of Discs brands are back in the hands of disc golfers. With a founder-led focus, we will bring these brands back closer to their original DNA.

Our foundation is strong and we’re ready to get back to work again with a renewed sense of meaning and direction.
