As a relatively new player, this disc is super fun to throw! It gets a lot of distance even with a lower arm-speed and is a great disc for practicing a hyzer flip

The best understable fairway driver in my collection!

Been disc golfing about 9 months and for a long time the River was my favorite disc. Not anymore. It took me about 2 rounds of 18 to learn the disc and now I feel extremely confident throwing my Opto Maul on a great line. On a slight hyzer it flips up to flat, has a gentle turn for a moment, then finishes with a slight fade. I’ve only broken 300’ a handful of times and quite by accident because I can’t do it on purpose but instead usually only reach 260-270 with my furthest discs. By the end of my second round today I was confidently and consistently hitting 280+ drive after drive. I believe it joined the 300-club today as well. This will be my go-to driver now, replacing my River except for shots I need to hold a hyzer line the entire time. Also…the Maul is an absolute beast whenever there is a left-to-right hole where I need my disc to hold an anhyzer the entire time and get max distance while turning right the whole time without turning over and crashing. I had a few of those shots today and the Maul performed flawlessly, which is a big deal for me since I don’t have a forehand to speak of. Best disc ever made.

Another great disc by Latitude 64. The Maul is very controllable and holds the line you put it on. The Opto plastic is Tournament Tough and wears well. Glad it’s in my bag.

Bought this disc to replace one that I threw in a lake a couple of years ago. It was supposedly found, but many attempts to hook up with the guy who found it were unsuccessful. Finally decided to buy a new one and I am so glad to have it back in my bag! Flys better than I remembered and it just keeps pushing forward with accuracy. Got two birdies on holes I don’t usually reach. So glad to have one back in my bag.

Second summer of discgolf. Recently bought the Maul and I love it. As many other said: It's very predictable and the 7 glide really helps me in making longer shots.

I lost my Opto Maul, and had to replace it as soon as possible. It is one of my most dependable discs for approach shots and really flies and glides nicely. I do hope this mould doesn’t go away.

I feel like I get a nice predictable throw out of it. I’m relatively new to this and I like nice predictable throws. Plus. I wrote Darth on it and now it’s Star Warsy too!

This Opto Maul has way more turn than the Opto Ice Maul I already bag.

Perfect disc for hyzer flip backhand with long gradually right working flight.

Just nice.

Understable for us in the 90-100m fairway driver category. However, nose down, slight hyzer and lots of air will make this disc glide forever with a nice S-curve. Otherwise, perfect for a hard thrown high turnover if you need it to turn 30 meters to the side. Will also go dead straight for 80 meters with less power and low height if that is your preference.

Highly recommended.

I like how the disc feels and the grip I can achieve. I am very new to disc golf so I am sure I am not throwing the disc to its full capacity. So far I like all of the disc's I got from Latitude 64.

Phenomenal disc. Throw it hard with slight anhyzer and you straighten any righty curve on the track.

The perfect disc for the beginner to intermediate crowd, put it on hyzer and watch it flip and fly way farther than a 7 speed has any right to. This is the ultimate easy distance disc and for the intermediate crowd makes massive turnover lines and rollers as easy as can be. If you want a disc that flies far with minimal effort pick up a maul.

Good understable driver for my pathetic arm.
Can hyzer flip it relatively straight and has a nice curved flight pattern when thrown flat.
